Counterflow Concept

The IDEX® Decoating System further advances the counterflow concept developed by Gillespie + Powers, Inc. to unlimited levels of flexibility.

Careful control of atmosphere, temperature, and flow through the kiln is key to successful operation.  An IDEX®  system built by Gillespie + Powers, Inc. and controlled by our Automation department, can achieve unparallel control.

Decoating Process

Decoating removes decorative, protective, or other layers of material on the surface of the aluminum with minimal effect on the aluminum itself. Coatings are predominantly paint, plastic, or paper, and largely organic.

Aluminum Industry Applications
IDEX® processes many materials:

Painted Siding 6 Micron Foil
Used Litho Plastic Laminates
Window Frames Paper Laminates
Turnings/Swarf Epoxy Strip
Frag/Twitch Cap stock
UBC
